                Nothelpingmattersisthecurserydevelopmentofallothercharacters.Josiah,RoxanneandJordanarealltreatedlikepiecesofthesettobemovedaroundattheneedofthedirector.Nonehasanydepth,motivationsorinterestingqualitiesbeyondtheirusefulnessasbackgroundforHarryandMax.Eventheboys'motherisreducedtotwominutesofmuddledscreentimebitchiness.Nikki,forme,wastheonlyinterestingcharacterhere,butthereasonsforherchoicesareneverexploredandintheendshewindsupasflatasalltheothers.
